Quiet Policy

Keep all conversations to a minimum and use a hushed voice.

George Lewis

George C. Lewis (1908-1982), Class of 1928, spent 25 years in pharmacy before embarking on a second career as a stock broker. Committed to his alma mater and original profession, Mr. Lewis was known for his unstinting support of ACP, both as a longtime trustee and an active member of the alumni association. In 1999, Mrs. Leona Lewis (1908-2003) presented the College with a gift that at the time was the largest in the school's history, paving the way for the library's renovation, expansion and technological upgrades. The expanded facility, on the second floor of the O'Brien Building, re-opened as the George and Leona Lewis Library in 2000.
